I moved into Martin Self Storage last November 2004. Nicole has an exceptional personality and certainly went above and beyond to assist me in my move. She really helped me a lot and I am grateful for her employment there. My whole move was going wrong however Nicole assured me that everything would be okay. At first there was no truck. Nicole called around and found a truck. Then the moving company I had initially hired to help me proved unreliable and did not show up. Nicole assured me again it would be okay. She provided me with an alternative company who came right away to help at a reasonable cost. She even took the time to follow up and call me at home to check on me to make sure once again that all was fine and went to my unit twice in the cold to make sure again all was fine. She definitely deserves some type of special recognition. Because of her, I recommend Martin Self Storage to all. Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to tell you about an experience I had at your storage facility on Carolina Beach Rd. just south of Monkey Junction. I needed a storage place for a short time while I moved from one house to another. Kathy (I think) was very nice and treated me first class. I returned later on a trop from Durham and had forgotten my key and Kathy took the bolt cutters and cut off the old lock and sold me a new one.

My first months rent was about to expire and one of the ladies called and took payment over the phone with credit card and prorated down to two weeks which was very helpful. I also had a good experience with Amanda & Alyx which are also very nice and helpful.

You have a first class Company, and I enjoyed doing business with Martin Self Storage and your very nice Ladies.

I just emptied out my two units this weekend at Martin Self Storage on Carolina Beach Road after almost 2 years. During that time , I was treated with kindness, respect and professionalism by your Managers and their co-workers. Ivan, Mindy and Ashley were particularly attentive, always helpful, and willing to do whatever was necessary to ensure the care and safety of my valuables while at your facility. It truly gave me peace knowing that my belongings were safe. I was particularly pleased when I removed my furniture and over 80 boxes as they were in excellent condition,with no sign of mold, mildew or insects. Thanks for your facility and your staff. They are both first rate and I would recommend them to anyone looking for peace of mind.

We recently moved to NC in June, and had arranged for our items to be stored at a competitor in Jacksonville, which turned out to be a big mistake! The lack of customer service by the unit manager stemmed from minor issues (closing the office during business hours without any notice to the customers on a regular basis) to major issues (billing errors, not posting payments). We decided to take our business elsewhere after 90 days.

I found your advertisement on the Internet, and had passed by the storage unit at 9121 Market St. I initially made contact via the Internet, and received immediate e-mail responses which answered my initial questions. I then visited the storage unit to get a sense of the customer service, attitude of the employees, and a sense of the level of care for the facility. The positive attitude and helpful demeanor allowed us to make a decision to move our items to your facility. As it stands, your facility is modern and clean, and the employees that we have interacted with have been professional, informative and helpful. There is one employee that assisted us on our move in day that should be recognized specifically for her professionalism, courtesy and positive customer service. I believe her name is Lori (not sure about first name) Miller. She individually assisted us with everything from the moving truck, to the lock, to the completion of paperwork, with a great attitude and was very thorough. This entire experience has definitely made us feel confident about our choice with your company, and this particular storage facility.
